City Spotlight on Braselton: What 'CAN' You Do to Fight Hunger?

Join the ongoing initiative to feed hungry families in Braselton and beyond.

During this week’s Braselton Night at the Gwinnett Braves Game, residents were asked to bring canned goods to the ballpark as part of the Gwinnett Municipal Association’s “CAN” Do for Hunger campaign.

Aside from the portions of its city limits within Barrow County borders, Braselton also stretches into Gwinnett, Jackson and Hall counties. As a town that takes the concept of community very seriously, Braselton makes every effort to take part in county-wide programs for all four counties.

In this case, the “CAN” Do for Hunger Campaign is an ongoing initiative designed to help fill local food pantries and meet the needs of hungry Gwinnett families by collecting canned foods and dry grocery staples at municipal events throughout the year. In addition to a presence at special events such as the recent Gwinnett Braves game, collection containers are located at the Braselton Town Hall for donations nearly every day of the week. Major collection drives are planned during the month of November at the Holidays in Braselton events to ensure a happier holiday season for Gwinnett families in need.

Essential items needed through the “CAN” Do effort include canned goods, dry foods, personal hygiene items and cleaning products such as:
