City Spotlight on Braselton: An Opportunity to Shine a Light on Your Business

The latest news from city hall.

One of many favorite local events of residents and visitors of the charming town of Braselton, the Lighting of the Braselton Christmas Tree at the heart of historic downtown offers a terrific opportunity for friends and neighbors to gather together in the spirit of the holiday season.

While these last summer days continue to hold on for dear life and fall lurks just around the corner here in Barrow County, the prospect of shining the “holiday” light on your business or product exists right now.

The town of Braselton is currently accepting door prizes from local businesses for the upcoming Nov. 12 event. These prizes will be distributed throughout the event, and participating businesses will receive recognition for the role they play in the success of this beloved annual tradition. Volunteers for the town will be collecting small items to give away that are suitable for both children and adults. If you need a little inspiration, the themes of this year’s tree lighting are “Winter Wonderland” and Disney’s Cars 2.

If you wish to announce your desire to take part in the Lighting of the Braselton Christmas Tree event on Nov. 12 or require additional information, contact Town Manager and Clerk Jennifer Dees. The evening’s festivities will also include the final Movie in the Park for 2011.

Speaking of Movies in the Park, don’t miss tonight’s FREE showing of Disney’s Tangled, rated PG, at Braselton Park! Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs — the movie begins at dusk. Movies in the Park are sponsored by the Braselton Visitors Bureau Authority.
