With a tagline that reads “Old southern charm with a vision for the future”, it’s no wonder that the city of Auburn boasts a warm and welcoming website that is also on the cutting edge and user-friendly.
With just a click of the mouse, visitors to the site can learn about everything from exciting future special events on the calendar and the different departments that make the city run smoothly, to job opportunities within the community and a list of utility providers to choose from, to how to apply for a building permit and where registered sex offenders reside.
In an attempt to streamline billing, another special feature of the city's website is the option to save both a stamp and time by paying your water bill online. Take into account that payments are typically processed within 24 hours and a 3 percent convenience charge will be added to your payment. Water bill payments are due the 15th of every month unless the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, then the due date will be extended to the following business day. Accounts with a balance paid after the 15th will incur a penalty of 10 percent on the total past due amount. Accounts with an unpaid balance after 4:30 p.m. on the 25th of the month are subject to disconnection without prior notification, and an administration charge of $25 will be assessed on the account. Service will be reconnected within 24 hours upon full payment of all past due balances and administration fees.

Lead-footed residents and visitors of Auburn are likely to appreciate the fact that traffic citations can also be paid online through the city of Auburn website. Unless you wish to contest the ticket in court or are facing an offense that requires you to appear, there’s no need to stand before a judge for speeding tickets or minor traffic violations when you can just simply pay your traffic citation online securely through a helpful link to the Auburn Municipal Court via a government services technology company called nCourt. You will need to have your citation number at the ready. Keep in mind that it may take up to a week for your citation to be entered into the database, so if you don’t find it online the first time you visit and have several weeks before your scheduled court date — try again after a few days. Online payments will be assessed a process fee, but the court is notified of payments instantly once authorized and you will receive a receipt for your records via e-mail. For more information about how this process works, visit the FAQ page.
