Carnival Nets Profit for City of Winder
The carnival that was held at the end of May was a financial success.
The netted a profit for the city.
Winder Downtown Development Authority Chairman Mike Rice informed authority members at their meeting Tuesday, June 21, that Winder SummerFest grossed $63,900.
Of that amount, nearly $10,000 was profited by the city of Winder.

Rice said 3,195 wristbands were sold, averaging 639 attendees per day. He also discussed the overall integrity of the event, explaining that only one incident occurred in which an individual had to be escorted from the premises.
