Braselton Issues Request for Proposals for Downtown Project

The town is seeking sealed proposals from professional engineering firms and consultants for the much-anticipated Downtown Streetscapes and Town Green project.


The town of Braselton is currently soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms and consultants interested in participating in the design and development of Phase 2 of the Downtown Streetscapes and Town Green project. 

“The Town Green was first envisioned by the citizens of Braselton in 2003,” said Town Manager and Clerk Jennifer Dees. “It will create a much needed gathering space for our residents and visitors alike to enjoy and be the focal point of our revitalized historic downtown.”

Engineering/consulting services for this project shall include, but are not limited to, development of a concept report, preparation of environmental documentation, Right-of-Way (R-O-W) plans (if applicable), surveys, legal descriptions, construction drawings, construction bid documents and any other associated documents for Transportation Enhancement (TE) Project P.I. #00110697.  Specifics regarding the Scope of Services are contained in the formal Request for Proposals (RFP) documents found on the RFP page of the Town of Braselton website.

Prospective service providers wishing to participate in this RFP must obtain a formal RFP package. Packages can be downloaded in their entirety from the town of Braselton website or picked up in person at the Braselton Planning and Development office at 4986 Ga. Highway 53 in Braselton. Formal RFP packages and associated documentation may also be sent via e-mail, but are not available via fax, U.S. Mail or courier service.

Sealed proposals must be received by the Braselton Planning and Development office by 5 p.m. March 2, 2012. Proposals received after that time and date will not be accepted nor given award consideration. Oral, telephoned, telegraphed, faxed, e-mailed or otherwise unsealed proposal responses will be considered invalid and shall not be given award consideration.
