Braselton Bibliophiles Take a Break

The local library will be closed for the long holiday weekend.

In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday, the Braselton Library will be closed Saturday, Jan. 14, through Monday, Jan. 16.

The library will reopen for regular hours Tuesday, Jan. 17, with a jam-packed calendar of events for the remainder of the week, including:

Tuesday, Jan. 17

  • Noon to 2 p.m. — Friends of the Library sponsored knitting group will meet at New Liberty United Methodist Church
  • 5 to 7 p.m. — TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) weight loss meeting at Braselton Library

Wednesday, Jan. 18

  • 10 to 10:30 a.m. — Inchworm Storytime for 2 to 3 year olds at the Braselton Library

Thursday, Jan. 19

  • 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. — Lit Blitz at the Braselton Library
  • 5 to 6 p.m. — Citizenship class at the Braselton Library

Friday, Jan. 20

  • 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. — Cocoons Storytime for children up to 2 year olds at the Braselton Library
  • 11:30 a.m. to noon — Bookworm Storytime for ages 4 and older at the Braselton Library
  • 6:30 p.m. — Movie Night at the Braselton Library featuring the new Smurfs movie. Sign up at the front desk in the library, as space is limited

The Town of Braselton's offices will also be closed Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. All offices will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 17. If you have a police emergency, call 911. If you have a water or sewer emergency, contact the employee on call at 678-283-0437.  Have a happy and safe holiday weekend!
