The Winder Clothing Co.’s 13th annual anniversary sale kicked off at 8 a.m. Aug. 2, 1962. The store, located at the corner of Candler and Jackson streets in downtown Winder, was offering ladies’ summer dresses, spring suits and swim suits and men’s summer suits, sports shirts and swim trunks for half price.
