Auburn Resident Quoted in Associated Press Story about Pinterest

While the Associated Press reports 65 percent of Pinterest users are women, and these women drive 85 percent of the traffic on the site, an Auburn resident says the website isn't worth her time.

An Auburn resident is quoted in a story by the Associated Press on the popularity of the online pinboard Pinterest.

The article appears on the Wall Street Journal's online news site.

Lori Choman, a retired Auburn resident who calls herself as a "DIY-er", told the AP Pinterest, which the article describes as the "latest website-of-the-moment for sharing things you love", isn't worth her time.

Chomas said she found it difficult to find out any information about the images that are pinned — unable to get names of recipes or instructions for craft projects. Instead, she said, the links often lead to shopping sites.
