A 37-year-old man has died from his injuries after being crushed by a piece of machinery Friday afternoon while working at  in south Forsyth.

When authorities arrived at the scene they found Jose Rodriguez of Buford, laying under a 'pill pusher' also known as a dye press, according to the incident report by the _.

– Douglasville Patch

Marcellus Britton, 25, was stopped on I-20, by members of the  F.I.N.D. Unit, and arrested on June 12 for driving with a suspended license.

An inventory search of the car revealed 11 pounds of marijuana in the trunk, according to the Sheriff's Facebook page. Investigation showed the marijuana was purchased in the Atlanta Metro area and was destined for Tuscaloosa, Ala.

On June 15, members of the F.I.N.D. Unit stopped a vehicle on I-20 near South Baggett Road. A K-9 alerted on the car and 1.5 pounds of marijuana was found hidden in an ice chest in the trunk.

 — Dallas-Hiram Patch

Authorities Thursday announced charges against a Dallas woman following the drowning deaths Sunday of two 5-year-old girls—one of which was her granddaughter.

Marta Sonia Corvi, 58, was arrested by the  and charged with two counts of reckless conduct. She was the housekeeper at the Vista Lakes subdivision home in Dallas at which Sophia Juarez, who resided in the home, and Mia Penoyer of Grayson drowned in the home’s in-ground pool. Corvi is also Penoyer’s grandmother.

Sgt. Bill Gorman of the Dallas Police Department told Dallas-Hiram Patch Monday that the girls had been found in the pool fully clothed Sunday afternoon. Officials believe they went into the pool sometime during a 45-minute time span when Corvi was on the phone.
