Police Seek Help to Identify Waffle House Robbers – East Atlanta Patch

Atlanta police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men wanted in connection with an Oct. 21 armed robbery of the East Lake Waffle House.

According to witness accounts, two black males, wearing masks entered the restaurant at 2914 Memorial Drive SE and robbed the restaurant at gunpoint.

There were no customers in the restaurant at the time of the robbery. The gunman told a female employee to empty the cash register then held the gun to her face as he told the other three employees to empty their pockets.

– Norcross Patch

The victim of a motel robbery claims that she was set up after meeting with someone concerning a Craigslist ad for prostitution.

According to the Norcross Police report, an officer met with the victim around 5 a.m. Oct. 21 at Days Inn, located at 5990 Western Hills Dr. in Norcross.

The victim told the officer that she had responded to an advertisement on Craigslist that day regarding sex work. She contacted a person named Ryan about getting a room and screening clients for her.

– Douglasville Patch

Christopher Michael Newell, 28, of Lithia Springs, has been arrested and charged with molesting his two children, both under 10 years of age, according to investigator Joshua Miller, Douglas County Sheriff's Department.

At the time of the accusation, Newell was the roommate of Paul William Gammell, previously arrested on charges of molesting the two children.

I grew up in a Winder where doors were not locked and the town was full of folks shopping! SometimesRead More a moonshiner would get caught or the parking meter would run out of time and one would get a parking ticket by one of the three cops in town! Now I keep a weapon handy because of voices and footsteps on the pavement at night! Where are these people coming from and going to after one o'clock in the morning? Why does it take so long for a policeman to show up after a call is made,if they show up at all? I've watched nice homes on my street turn into dumps. They are rented by owners who are only interested in the money and not the quality of people who are renting. Yeah, I keep a weapon and it's loaded for a thief or prowler! When seconds count a cop is only several minutes away,if at all!
