A Ludowici man was arrested in Hinesville March 13 after police say he attempted to punch a nightclub bouncer.
Two security employees told police Travis Roy Spurlock, 26, was thrown out of the club at about 11 p.m. They said he returned and was thrown out again. He then returned to the property a third time, according to the employees. After noticing Spurlock had a pocketknife in his front pocket, one of the security employees took the knife and told Spurlock that he could have it back when he sobered up. The employees said Spurlock became belligerent, demanded the knife back, and took a swing at them. It was then that they "took him to the pavement" and restrained him until police arrived, they said.
