Restaurant That Opened in March Scores 73 on Health Inspection

Violations include food improperly separated, improper holding temperatures and more.

The Northeast Health District reports the following health inspection scores for Barrow County.

Score: 73
Date of routine inspection: April 15, 2013
Critical violations:

  • Violation of : 4-1A. Food separated and protected (Raw shell eggs over buns and sauces in prep table. Corrected on site by person in charge rearranging.) 
  • Violation of : 6-1A. Proper cold holding temperatures (Cooked mushrooms, peppers and cooked onions 47 to 49 degrees in cold hold drawer. Corrected on site by discarding.)

  • Violation of : 2-2B. Proper eating, tasting, drinking, or tobacco use (An employee drink cup was stored inside prep cooler. Corrected on site by person in charge removing.) 
  • Violation of : 2-2D. Adequate handwashing facilities supplied & accessible (Hand wash sink blocked by kegs and not easily accessible. Corrected on site by person in charge moving kegs.) 
  • Violation of : 12A. Contamination prevented during food preparation, storage & display (Ice bath set cooling chili in first compartment of three-compartment sink. Corrected on site by moving to food prep sink.) 
  • Violation of : 16A. Hot and cold water available; adequate pressure (Wash cycle at bar dish machine only reaching 100 degrees. Must reach 140 degrees according to manufacturers instruction plate.)

  • Violation of : 2-2B. Proper eating, tasting, drinking, or tobacco use (Employee drink cups without lid and straws stored in various kitchen locations. All drink cups must have lid and straw and be stored away from FEULS. Corrected on site by discarding.) 
  • Violation of : 2-2D. Adequate handwashing facilities supplied & accessible (An ice cream scoop was in hand sink. Hand sink may not be used for any other purpose than hand washing. Corrected on site by removing.)

  • Violation of : 14C. Single-use/single-service articles: properly stored, used (Single service boxes stored on floor. Place on shelving six inches off floor.)

Date of routine inspection: April 12, 2013
No critical violations
Non-critical violations:

  • Violation of : 15A. Food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used (Black caulk found in three-compartment sink on seams. Remove black caulk so that it's easily cleanable.)
