Michaels Craft Store at Barrow Crossing Could be Complete as Early as February

The store will join Publix, Target, Belk and other retailers and businesses in the growing shopping center of Ga. Highway 316.

A store under construction adjacent to PetSmart at Barrow Crossing in Bethlehem could be complete as early as February.

Crews are scheduled to bore slab Monday, Dec. 3, for the Michaels craft store, Luis Suarez, building inspector for the Barrow County Planning Department, told Barrow Patch, and the anticipated construction completion date could come as early as February.

The store is located in the growing Barrow Crossing shopping center off Ga. Highway 316. The development, which is anchored by a Publix, a Target store and a Belk, has welcomed a Kirkland's, a T.J.Maxx and a Shane's Rib Shack in the past year.

Any news when this may open? I drove by yesterday and no signs up on the windows and no life or products in the store.

I grew up in a Winder where doors were not locked and the town was full of folks shopping! SometimesRead More a moonshiner would get caught or the parking meter would run out of time and one would get a parking ticket by one of the three cops in town! Now I keep a weapon handy because of voices and footsteps on the pavement at night! Where are these people coming from and going to after one o'clock in the morning? Why does it take so long for a policeman to show up after a call is made,if they show up at all? I've watched nice homes on my street turn into dumps. They are rented by owners who are only interested in the money and not the quality of people who are renting. Yeah, I keep a weapon and it's loaded for a thief or prowler! When seconds count a cop is only several minutes away,if at all!
