Patch: How did you get into your line of work?

Amy: I have personally been into fitness since high school and have always been in some sort of competitive sport. Owning a gym has always been one of my top interests. Jerry, my husband, opened the gym in 2006 after seeing the need in the community instead of a big box club. We’re able to make becoming healthy convenient and accessible. With us you're able to come and go as you please.

Patch: What is the worst aspect of co-owning Anytime Fitness?

Amy: That we aren’t able to reach every single person that we want to reach. We can invite them, but we can’t make them come in.

Patch: What are some of your hobbies outside of work?

Amy: I participate in figure competitions, so I work out and run and I bike. I love spending time with my family. I also help coach other female athletes to be competitive with body building, figure or bikini competitions.

Patch: What is your personal business philosophy?

Amy: To always do the right thing and always be available to our customers.

Patch: How did you become involved with figure competitions?

Amy: In October 2009, a client I was working with that was a member here made a total life transformation. She went from being 75 pounds overweight to winning a bikini competition. Seeing her do that was such an inspiration that I had to get involved.
