First Gateway Station Business Set to Open Late This Month

Five businesses are set to open by June.

Top Dawg Tavern, set to open late this month, will be the first business to welcome patrons at Gateway Station, a 14,000-square-foot development under construction along Ga. Highway 316.

Wayne Bartlett with Maynard and Bartlett Realty Group in Winder said that in addition to the sports bar, a podiatrist's office and a nail salon are set to to open in April, followed by Mattress Gallery USA & Fine Furniture in March and Poncho's Mexican Restaurant in June.

Bartlett said plans for a Longhorn Steakhouse location have been pushed back.

A total of 160 acres along Exchange Boulevard are earmarked for grocery, retail, restaurant, office and medical space within Gateway at University Parkway.

Carrabas, or an olive garden. Bring in a recreational venue like bowling, indoor play ground, a public pool/ mini water park, something TO DO. Winder does not need more nail salons, chicken or Mexican restaurants!

I'd like to see a new Red Lobster at Gateway. I'm tired of going to Athens or Duluth or Lilburn to eat there. Sandi Kane

I'm with you, tired of the traffic and 2 of the same type of stores.Tired of Mexican Establishments on every corner.

They can't even fix the traffic! They don't care about the quality of life that borders all these tacky places! Build a noise barrier for the residential homes that back up to this or it's going to be another GHETTO! Winder side streets look like a ghetto so their doing the same here!
