Chico's to Open New Data Center
Open Source Magazine reports the Barrow County business is adding to its Winder facilities.
Open Source Magazine reports is adding a new Performance Optimized Data, or "POD," center to its Barrow County facilities.
POD technology, or "data center in a box," employs modular, pre-fabricated reinforced steel containers, about the size of a train freight car, to house and cool vital information technology hardware.
The new configuration will almost double Chico's current computing capacity, requiring half the space.
