Chick-fil-A at Winder Busy on 'Appreciation Day'

Residents should expect increased traffic in the area.

at Winder was crowded this afternoon — and will likely be crowded this evening.

Aug. 1 was designated "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" by former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee in response to the outcry against the company because of comments made by Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy affirmed his support for the biblical version of marriage.

A post on the Winder restaurant's Facebook page read:

Two quick observations so far from today : 1)We are highly, as in "super cali fragilistic expialidocious" proud of our team members today...they have worked so hard & so efficiently and offered tons of genuine "my pleasure" comments. 2) We have been **incredibly** humbled by your patronage.

Busy is an understatement! I frequently stop by Chick-Fil-A on my way to work, and I thought I might do so today. The fields around the restaurant were full of cars, and the drive through had a pretty long line too! I'll be back tomorrow. :-)

This is a perfect example of the silent Christain people tired of all of this GAY MARRIGE, GAY Rights, GAY anything, I am eating at Chick-Fil-A more & more, these people have right idea. The reason this 1% percent sale tax, Splost failed, we are tired of being lyed to, The Politican's not doing what they said, money going for junk items, such as Studies, trip to other cities, attorney fees, sidewalks to no where, trails in parks to no where, Tolleys in Downtown Atlanta going to go no where, look at the 400 toll road, Look at how much they spent to advertise the 1% Splost over 8 Million, they think the working people are stupid, Sure the Traffice is Bad, Look at Hwy 29 from Ronald Reagan to Rockbrigde Rd, Big Sidewalks, go by on any given day, nobody walks on them, tear them out make a lane on each side of the road, so traffice can get thru, Look at Hwy 78 at Lake Lurcern, they have a bridge going accross a creek, I have only seen (1) one person walking across it, since it was built, I have heard this cost $700,000.00 Dollars for nobody to use, we need to elect some people with some common sense, this includes the White House also. I am not voting for Romney, I am voting against Obama

Took my girls at lunch time, it was a crowded, well-oiled machine working the line and around the dining room. Kudos to the staff there, they did a marvelous job keeping it going.

Too bad the liberal press won't report the turn out at the chick filet restaurants across the nation.
