The Northeast Health District reports the following health inspection scores for Barrow County.

Date of inspection: Sept. 13, 2012

Critical violation: 

  • Violation of: 6-1A. Proper cold holding temperatures (TCS foods held in temperature danger zone — 41 degrees to 135 degrees — i.e., hamburger, pork chops, sliced turkey, sliced ham, steak. Corrected on site by discarding food product in sandwich prep and operating out of reach-in cooler at end of work line.)

  • Violation of: 15A. Food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used (Sandwich prep table operating at 45 degrees at time of inspection. Do not use until cooler has been serviced and operating 38 to 40 degrees. Must maintain TCS food at less than 41 degrees.) 
  • Violation of: 17C. Physical facilities installed, maintained, and clean (Floor tiles in kitchen area in poor repair, not smooth or easily cleanable. *REPEAT VIOLATION)

  • Violation of: 4-2B. Food-contact surfaces: cleaned & sanitized (Dishes not being washed/rinsed/sanitized. An employee was observed washing and rinsing a container with no sanitize step. Corrected on site by instructing person in charge to rewash correctly and providing handout.)

  • Violation of: 8-2B. Toxic substances properly identified, stored, used (Two containers of sanitizer less than 100 ppm. Corrected on site by dumping and refilling sanitizer to proper strength — 50 to 100 ppm.)
