Almost 36 Percent of Winder Commuters Enjoy Commute Time of Less Than 15 Minutes

The Business Journals has released information on commuting times for residents of small towns and communities, including the city of Winder.

Almost 36 percent of Winder commuters enjoy a commute time of 14 minutes or less, according to an online source reporting business news.

According to The Business Journals, 35.82 percent of Winder’s estimated 13,574 population (data from 2009) commute 14 minutes or less to work, while 30.8 percent spend 15 to 29 minutes getting to work.

The national average for workers who spend less than 15 minutes commuting is 28.7 percent.

The Business Journals report 18.58 percent commute 30 to 44 minutes and 14.8 percent spend 45 minutes or more traveling to work. The national average for workers who spend 45 minutes or longer commuting is 15.5 percent.

The information was collected from a study analyzing commuting data from the 2009 American Community Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau.
