Internationally Recognized Wood Turner to Attend Local Arts Festival

An internationally recognized wood turn will be attendance at a local arts festival this fall.

, presented by the Georgia Piedmont Arts Center, will feature demonstrations by Michael Gibson, who will also offer his work for sale.

“I can’t tell you how pleased we are that Michael and his wife Cynthia will be with us,” Kathleen Gill president of the Georgia Piedmont Arts Center, said in a news release. “Cynthia collaborates with Michael on a great many pieces.”

Harvest of Art will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Auburn art cottage at 1396 Third Ave. in Auburn. The event will offer fine art and fine crafts, complemented by good food, musical entertainment, free mini art lessons for adults and a free children’s art activity.
