An indepth study for those interested in developing their Acting skills will be held at Krysallis Art Gallery in Winder.   Richard Woods - Native Georgian, was the Drama Instructor and Monologue Coach for The Northside School for the Performing Arts in Atlanta, Georgia; developing scene study for up and coming actors and actresses for commercial, stage, TV, and Film. Krysallis Gallery is proud to have Mr. Woods as a guest instructor for this very exciting six week summer 2012, session:    Thursdays:  July 12th, 19th, 26th, August 2nd, August 9th, and 16th.Each Tuesday Evening from:   6pm - 7pm "Basic Acting Skills - Ages 7 - 15yrs." The essence of basic realism starts with pantomime (mime). Mime is the ability to create the visible sensation of reality using nothing, but muscle and facial expression. Is it heavy or light? Does it feel smooth, or rough? The more the muscle, the better the performance. Body position, speed, and accuracy, they all contribute to your craft as an actor. Sloppy feet, droopy shoulders, lack of eye contact, make them all work for you as you develop your acting skills. Kids especially love this kind of acting!

I grew up in a Winder where doors were not locked and the town was full of folks shopping! SometimesRead More a moonshiner would get caught or the parking meter would run out of time and one would get a parking ticket by one of the three cops in town! Now I keep a weapon handy because of voices and footsteps on the pavement at night! Where are these people coming from and going to after one o'clock in the morning? Why does it take so long for a policeman to show up after a call is made,if they show up at all? I've watched nice homes on my street turn into dumps. They are rented by owners who are only interested in the money and not the quality of people who are renting. Yeah, I keep a weapon and it's loaded for a thief or prowler! When seconds count a cop is only several minutes away,if at all!
