106 West Hosts Open Mic for City of Winder Lazy Daze Music Festival At the Trax July 16th !!

Hosted by 106 West, the Open Mic stage will offer a non-stop parade of performers -including three great bands- to delight and entertain all who come out to the festival.

The Lonely Trio, a jazz trio featuring vocals, guitar and stand-up electric fretless bass will open the show at 10 a.m. and will perform again at 11:35 and 3:05. The Lonely Trio includes Carly Baker, Chad Clark and Thom Tollerson who perform old and new jazz standards, and will be playing in full concert at 106 West in the near future.

At 1:00pm, 3 Bucks Shy will take the stage. 3 Bucks Shy is a bluegrass/newgrass band with a unique foundation in traditional blues and an added flair of acoustic rock. The band plays both traditional favorites and originals, and is named after a phrase bassist Ann used to describe the band. 3 Bucks Shy is comprised of three men (bucks)
including Terry Fohey, Jeff Carter and Gary Scott and a woman, Ann Fohey (who is shy).

Headlining the afternoon events at 4:30 will be Levi Lowrey and The Community House Band, veteran perfomers at 106 West and fresh off their tour promoting their new CD on Zac Brown's record label, Southern Ground Artists. Levi Lowrey on fiddle, guitar and vocals is a
co-writer of the song "Colder Weather", this year's #1 country music award winner. He is joined on stage by Danny McAdams, Billy Wilkerson, John Daws and Daniel McGill for a high-energy show showcasing the best
in southern rock.

Throughout the day, between the band performances, solo and duo guitar, violin, autoharp, bass and vocal musical acts will perform, as well as poets and spoken word artists. See below for the full day schedule. For more information see  www.106west.com or call 770-868-1977.
