Catch a Glimpse of Barrow County in the Film 'Trouble with the Curve'

Scenes shot in Barrow County are set to appear in the film "Trouble with the Curve" opening in theaters this weekend, including Gateway Cinemas 12 in Bethlehem. 

Justin Timberlake was in Barrow in mid-March shooting a scene for the film on Covered Bridge Road off Ga. Highway 211 near the Barrow-Jackson county line. 

According to IMDb and CBS News, the film focuses on Eastwood as an ailing Atlanta Braves baseball scout in his twilight years who takes his daughter, played by Amy Adams, along for one last recruiting trip.

Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith talked golf with Timberlake on the set back in March. Smith said the scene that was filmed on Covered Bridge Road off Ga. Highway 211 near the Barrow-Jackson county line features Timberlake driving down a country road, where he sees a group of kids playing baseball in a field. An aspiring radio announcer, Smith said Timberlake stops to watch the game and offers his own play-by-play.
