Start-up Farmers Market Seeking Vendors

Calling all farmers, backyard growers and crafters — the Statham Farmers Market is seeking vendors to participate in the city's first market.

Space is available to vendors selling fresh produce, spices, herbs, flowers, bedding plants, eggs, cheese, dairy products, meats, baked goods, honey and preserves, and other items at the discretion and approval of market organizers. Selection of goods will be made based on quality, originality, the overall market mix and space availability.

The market will start up the first Saturday in June, with dates scheduled for each weekend through Sept. 10. Markets will be open from 8 to 11 a.m.

The application deadline for vendors is May 2, and the fee to participate is set at $150 per season.
