Road Work Continues in Downtown Winder

Is the work creating traffic woes or are things going smoothly? Barrow Patch wants to know.

Crews continued to work along Broad Street in downtown Winder on Monday, Aug. 12.

The ongoing work is part of a .72-mile long, almost $5 million project that has a completion date of July 31, 2014. The project will rebuild SR 11/Broad Street from the ground up, creating a stronger driving surface that the DOT says will last decades. Enhancement work includes new sidewalks, curb and gutter, benches, lighting and landscaping.

Barrow Patch wants to know if the work is creating traffic woes or if things are going smoothly. Post a comment now.
