Pets of the Week: Puppy Love

Two lovable pups are available for adoption at Barrow County Animal Control.

This active puppy and lovable bulldog mix are awaiting their forever homes at Barrow County Animal Control. Read the descriptions to see if one of these pets is right for your family.

  • A brown German/Corgi mix, male approximately 4 months old. Shelter staff members say he is good with older kids, other animals and good on a leash. He was returned to the shelter after he was adopted. He has high spirits and was too energetic for the family's small children. He needs a home where he can gets lots of exercise and play β€” he needs an outlet for his energy! He is neutered and fully vetted. He is expected to weigh about 40 to 50 pounds.
  • Male, black and white bulldog mix, approximately 1 year old. He is neutered and micro-chipped. "He is very affectionate and friendly," animal control staffer Michelle Beckemeyer said. He is good with other dogs, good on a leash, house trained and full grown at 44 pounds. He was surrendered by an owner who had too many animals in the home. Contact the shelter before 5 p.m. Tuesday if you are interested in this dog.

The adoption fee for all cats and dogs is $100. The fee includes spay or neuter, a physical exam, a fecal exam, de-worming, a rabies vaccine, a distemper/parvo vaccine and micro-chipping.
