Pets of the Week: Labrador and Beagle Mixes Need Homes

Find the next furry member of your family here.

A Labrador and Beagle mix are awaiting their forever homes at Barrow County Animal Control. Read the descriptions to see if one of these pets is right for your family.

  • A black, male Labrador mix, approximately 4 to 5 months old. He weighs in at 25 pounds. He is a little, shy guy, but you'll fall in love with him. The small white patch on his chest only adds to his cuteness. He was dropped off at the shelter, so animal control has no background information on him. "He's an absolute sweetheart, but since he's so shy he would need someone who would be willing to work with him.," animal control staffer Kimberly Perez said.
  • A white and tan, female Beagle mix, about 1 to 2 years old. She weighs in at 29 pounds. She's slightly shy, but will adapt to any situation. She was found running loose, so animal control has no background information on her.

The adoption fee for all cats and dogs is $100. The fee includes spay or neuter, a physical exam, a fecal exam, de-worming, a rabies vaccine, a distemper/parvo vaccine and micro-chipping.

For more information on these or other pets, call the shelter at 770-307-3012. Shelter hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
