Find the next furry member of your family here.

An Austrailian shepherd mix and a cat are awaiting their forever homes at Barrow County Animal Control. Read the descriptions to see if one of these pets is right for your family.

  • A black and gray, male Australian shepherd mix, 10 to 12 weeks old. He weighs about 10 pounds and should grow to about 40. He is obedient but a little shy and will need some guidance from his owner. He is good with people and other animals. He was found running at large, so animal control has no background information on him.
  • A grey female cat, about 4 to 5 months old. She is a very friendly and loving kitten. She is good with people and other animals. She was found with an identical male cat at an abandoned apartment. Animal control has no background information on them.

The adoption fee for all cats and dogs is $100. The fee includes spay or neuter, a physical exam, a fecal exam, de-worming, a rabies vaccine, a distemper/parvo vaccine and micro-chipping.

For more information on these or other pets, call the shelter at 770-307-3012. Shelter hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
