Pets of the Week: A Friendly Boxer and Two Beagle Pups

These animals need good homes fast.

This lovable boxer and sweet beagles are awaiting their forever homes at Barrow County Animal Control. Read the descriptions to see if one of these pets is right for your family.

  • A white female boxer, approximately 1 to 2 years old. Shelter staff members say she is a not shy at all. She is good on a leash, good with kids and other dogs. "She is a shelter favorite," animal control staffer Michelle Beckemeyer said. Please contact the shelter about her before 5 p.m. Tuesday if your are interested in this dog. She was rescued on a county road, so animal control has no background information.
  • Two black, tan, and white male and female beagle mixes, approximately 8 to 10 weeks old. The male has more white on his face and is shy and cuddly. The female is very outgoing, friendly and active. These two are owner surrenders and animal control has no background information on them.

The adoption fee for all cats and dogs is $100. The fee includes spay or neuter, a physical exam, a fecal exam, de-worming, a rabies vaccine, a distemper/parvo vaccine and microchipping.

For more information on these or other pets, call the shelter at 770-307-3012. Shelter hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
