Mother Serves as Surrogate for Daughter, a Winder Resident, and Gives Birth to Grandson

According to 11Alive News, Krista Saxon's uterus never formed, so her mother served as a gestational carrier for the sole egg Krista could produce.

A Winder woman says her family is complete after her surrogate gave birth to her first child recently. What's interesting about this story is that the surrogate is the woman's mother.

11Alive News reports Krista and Trent Saxon are the proud parents of a healthy baby boy thanks to Krista Saxon's mother, 45-year-old Angie Stockton.

"My uterus never fully formed," Krista tells 11Alive, "so the [doctor] just told me, because of that, I would not be able to carry."

"She would basically just need an oven," Stockton said, "and I knew from day one that I would serve as that oven."
