Larry the Cable Guy, aka 'Mater,' Tweets Message to Barrow County Toddler Hit by Tree Limb
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that after more than a week in critical condition, Tripp Halstead is expected to survive his injuries.
"Git well soon" is one of two Twitter messages from Larry the Cable Guy, voice of Mater in the animated film Cars, to Tripp Halstead.
Tripp, 2, , when a tree limb fell at the Winder day care center he attended and struck him in the head.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Tripp's doctors expect him to survive, and Facebook users and Barrow County residents have rallied around the toddler. On a Facebook page dedicated to updates on Tripp's recovery, a post said the country band Rascal Flatts had also sent Tripp a message.
