Description: Walton County Government is hiring a firefighter. Responsibilities include performing professional fire and rescue operations to save lives and maintain property damage in the event of medical emergencies, accidents, fires, natural disasters, terrorist attacks and any other events that cause an emergency situation. Firefighters drive emergency response equipment and fire trucks, maintain vehicles, trucks, firefighting and rescue equipment and the fire station.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of one to two years of experience in firefighting technique and engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Applicants must possess and maintain certifications as required by the county.
