Job title: Slitter/CTL Redbud operator
Description: Olympic Steel in Winder is hiring a slitter/CTL Redbud operator. Duties include directing steel coil slitting orders to customer needs. The cut-to-length operator directs a Redbud CTL line and the machine operator is responsible for satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity and delivery, in a safe manner while maximizing productivity. The employee in this position will lead a team of machine operator assistants and material handlers to efficiently run material, as needed.
Qualifications: Applicants must have previous experience operating steel slitting equipment or cut-to-length machinery, be mechanically inclined, production oriented and safety and quality conscious. Applicants should have basic math skills, a general knowledge of crane operation  and a working knowledge of general computer programs is strongly preferred. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and work ready certification is preferred.
