Description: The Home Depot is hiring a general office associate in Dacula. Responsibilities include greeting vendors, customers, job applicants and other visitors and arranging for site visits, as appropriate. This employee operates a switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and expedites the flow of product with vendors and stores, communicates completion dates for deliverables, communicates with carriers to avoid transit delays, schedules and coordinates efficient distribution of products in order to satisfy store demand, analyzes and revises shipment plans as required and works with other departments to ensure store satisfaction and accuracy of shipment records. This employee also assigns product to trucks according to length and purpose of trip, freight requirements and user preference, investigates overdue vehicles, confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed or damaged merchandise, compares and verifies identifying information/shipping records on incoming or outgoing shipments with bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records, verifies that materials received are as ordered in both type and quantity and maintains related files and records, prepares appropriate documentation for domestic or international shipments and maintains records.
Qualifications: Applicants must have ability to use PCs/computer systems and must be 18 or older, pass a drug test, background check and a validated selection test.
