Braselton-Based Panoz to Produce Street-Legal Race Cars
Cars will manufactured on a one-off basis.
If you have ever wanted to navigate your morning commute in a Panoz race car, you'll soon have your chance. The Braselton-based company has announced plans to produce a street-legal version of its race car.
Racer.com reports the cars will be available for purchase this month.
“We will be producing all these cars, on a one-off customer basis, for the street,” John A. Leverett, Panoz LLC Vice President of Sales, told Racer.com. “If you want a Panoz GTR-1 for the street, we will produce one for you. If you want a Panoz roadster, we'll make one for you."
No word on how much the custom racers will cost, but, if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it.
