Memorial Day fell on April 26 in 1933.

Memorial Day fell on April 26 in 1933 and the Daughters of the American Revolution, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Woman’s Club sponsored a program that included an address given by Judge B. P. Gaillard of Gainesville, music and entertainment. A committee arranged for every grave of a Confederate veteran in the county to be decorated with flowers for the day.
