"Cotton Patch Gospel" Final Weekend

Don't miss the final weekend of "Cotton Patch Gospel" being presented at the Winder Cultural Arts Center by the Winder-Barrow Community Theatre.  This wonderful musical, directed by Billie Nye-Muller, presents the story of the life and miracles of Jesus as if he was born in rural Georgia in more modern times.  How would we have reacted to his life?  The play shows a group of people acting out the story with the disciple Matthew narrating the story.  Don't miss the Greatest Story retold in this version written by Tom Key and Russell Treyz based on the book "The Cotton Patch Version of Matthew and John" by Clarence Jordan.  The music in the show was written by Harry Chapin just before his death in 1981.  Music for the show is being played live on the stage by the Weber Family Bluegrass Band along with Music Director, Beth Mappes, on keyboard.

Shows are Friday and Saturday nights (August 9 & 10) at 7:30 pm and Sunday (August 11) at 3:00 pm.
