Chico's Executive Brad Taylor Elected to Lanier Technical College Foundation Board of Trustees
Oakwood, GA – The Board of Trustees of the Lanier Technical College Foundation has elected Brad Taylor of Bogart, GA to its board on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at its meeting at the Lanier Tech Forsyth Campus Conference Center.
Taylor is an executive at Chico’s FAS, Inc., a cultivator of brands serving the lifestyle needs of fashion savvy women 35 years and older. The Company’s portfolio currently consists of four brands: Chico’s White House | Black Market, Sonoma Intimates and Boston Proper. The brands are all specialty retailers of private label women’s apparel, accessories and related products, which are available to customers in over 1,400 stores, through websites and via telephone through a call center for the catalogs.
Taylor has almost 15 years designing and implementing industry-leading supply chain solutions for traditional and Internet retailers in the United States and overseas. He has deep experience in leading companies through full-cycle distribution facility design-builds and retrofits, warehouse and order management system implementations, complex material handling equipment design and installations, as well as employee performance management initiatives. After running a small consulting firm for five years, Brad began his current role based at the Chico’s Distribution Campus in Winder, GA, where he runs the Engineering, Facilities and Workforce Management departments.
The 90-plus acre campus in Winder employs almost 1,200 people in the two highly automated distribution facilities and a 300-seat Customer Sales and Contact Center. Taylor represents the Campus at the corporate level as the Great Place to Work Ambassador and leads several charitable initiatives including the Chico’s Annual Golf Tournament which recently raised over $66,000 for the Georgia March of Dimes. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Sims Academy of Innovation and Technology.
Brad is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering. He currently resides in Bogart with his wife Anna and their two children, ages 6 and 5.
The Lanier Technical College Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which was designed to accept donations for the express purpose of supporting Lanier Technical College. Donations are used to enhance student’s educational opportunities, help create a competent competitive workforce, and support economic development for a seven county service area in northeast Georgia. The Foundation plays an integral part in the strategic planning and expansion of new programs and facilities for the future of the college.
