  Saturday\, August 11 at Crow's Lake in Jefferson.\nThis event will feat
 ure 10\,000 rubber turtles which will race in Crow's Lake. The first 10 
 adopted turtles to cross the finish line win!\nThe turtle launch is sche
 duled for 1 p.m. Come early and enjoy the Summer Kids Festival beginning
  at 10 a.m. and featuring inflatables\, face painting\, public safety ac
 tivities\, music\, food and more.\nProceeds from this event benefit the 
 Tree House Children's Advocacy Center which works to reduce the impact a
 nd occurrence of child abuse in Barrow\, Banks and Jackson counties.
