Celebrate recovery is a wonderful program for anyone who is dealing with addiction in themselves or their family.

I'm a prime candidate for recovery but my exposure to this denomination has left me wanting. It's really too bad because I am a practicing Christian with a long record of passing on the peace that passes understanding. Yet loud, berating, negative oratory rehashing over and over the critiques of my past along with equal portions of Hell and brimstone has turned me away. We in recovery are well aquainted with our trials and tribulations. We have beat ourselves up more often and more severely than we care to recall. Plus we have endured the slings and arrows of our families and authority figures of all stripes. I, for one, do not need any more of the same. I wish you all well but I need a quiet, strong, sponsor who has walked in my shoes and is willing to share the road that led them to prolonged sobriety and peace of mind.
