It's that time again people. Let it all out in The Friday Rant!
Rules: No name calling, Personal or Business, and keep it clean! Leave your rant in the comment section below!
After Election week I'm sure we all have a lot to say. Mine is pretty simple:
Quit gloating about your candidate winning and quit whining about your candidate losing and simply start praying that the current and future administration will guide this nation in the proper way for us all!
Rant away peeps!

Where do we start!!! Is there a United States somewhere here for those of us who are just plain fed up with all the bickering!

I here ya. I have never seen a more angered and flat out ticked off country as far as politics is concerned. It seems that everyone is concerned with their own agenda instead of the nations, which is why we are in the shape we are in anyways.

I just wish they would stop with the predictions of who's going to run in 2016. My mind has been bombarded with political ads, commentary, mudslinging and childish behavior for the past two years. PLEASE give us some recovery time!

AMEN! From a TV standpoint I understand why they're talking about it. It's because it's a hot and heated topic now, not to mention a pain in the rear.

Seriously when coming down an exit ramp you accelerate to blend in with traffic!!!! That means speed the #%^¥< i up. This country is no longer a Christian Nation and the fast lane is no longer the left lane.... ...... The pit maneuver should be legal to use when someone is slow in the fast lane on the phone and not yielding to faster traffic. That would be a fun ride to work! Yeah C'mon ! Bump and run!

Odd parallel between Christian Nation and the Fast Lane, but we'll take it. Bump and Run, I dig it!

Never will understand why it takes so long at the Dr.! Waited for an hour, took 30sec . Now waiting on Meds that I can see on the shelf behind the pharmacist. Z pack is one box? No counting pills? But seriously I do understand the parmacy can't just hand out Meds, that why I gave them a prescription! Lol Jk

I have a theroy o n the waiting times at the Doctor. You see, you wait an hour to see the doc for 5 minutes so they charge you out the rear-end to make you feel like it was longer than it really was.

My rant is somewhat silly. I'm a big follower of the weather. It bugs me to no end that the Weather Channel is now naming winter storms as if they were hurricanes. Please. Love it that the National Weather Service wants to be no part of it.

Sorry everyone I was thinking politics still, after reading the first couple comments. It just jumped out and brain farted everywhere! My brain is permanently damaged from listening and reading Facebook adds about the election.

Just a quick comment on lighting Monroe to kick off the holidays. I was a upset in the lack of involvment as a community we need to pull together even more so now than ever and these types of events will help us learn to know one another I feel pretty sure we are going to have to go back to the old ways and help our neighbors pulling together is so important

True, community involvement encourages growth, stability and enrichment and should always be important.

Watching some of the mess in NY and NJ from Sandy and thinking about how much time and money is going to be wasted in political finger pointing before we actually get down to analyzing the best way to fix what is broken and do a better job next time around. This is a bipartisan rant, it happened that way in Katrina too. I wish politicians would stop wasting so many resources, including goodwill among themselves, on issues that are intrusive in our lives - like marriage, nutrition and reproduction and concentrate on the things we need collective help on such as defense, infrastructure and emergency help. Just my somewhat "late" Friday rant.

My rant is when you call a company's customer service on the phone, they put you on hold, then keep repeating "for service, you can log onto www. ______. If I wanted to get info via the computer, I would have, but I want to talk with a PERSON. This is especially true when I am calling a COMPUTER company. Good grief!! (and don't get me started on outsourcing customer service!!)

Common sense and Customer service don't mix. AT ALL!!! I love how it's a computerized voice that answers most of the time.

It was my attempt at humor. I figure up front that some of my comments may not make it to print. My doctor is adjusting my medication so maybe things will be better.

This is a PATCH rant. If Facebook can install an edit button, surely PATCh can. My keys stick and sometime I don't see an error until I've hit send. Then, I have to delete it and start over. EDIT BUTTON EDIT BOTTON EDIT BUTTON! maybe if I say it 3 times in caps they'll get my message- lol
Ryan Brooks

ACtually, Tammy, your edit button is technically there already. Before you submit it say EDIT your post, which would imply that you actually read it first so you can EDIT.
LoL :0) Totally messing with you. (but it is there) lol

My computer key board is old and my keys keep sticking, and then to top that off, my eyes are a bit old too. I hit send then before it materializes, i say, "Oh crap!"
What's wierd, is that I do read it, but my eyes are doig this wierd stuff these days and i see it differently the second time. Of course, probably when replying to some jerk on the political section, most type really fast and hit send. lol

I would like to know if anyone who voted yes for the third way to start a charter school actually has plans to now go out and start one?
If no, who were you trying to help by voting yes? And, exactly how is a school with no attendance zone that may or may not close every 5 years going to be good for property values? Or traffic? And where will they find the teachers? Will they be the same ones we just laid off? Will they do better at a charter school because they now get paid less? OR because you just now decided to get involved? But I thought you were involved in the old school that you didn't like because of the teachers you thought weren't good enough, with the money you said you needed more of, but now you are okay with less.
Different isn't better - it's just different. If you know what makes one school better than the rest, don't keep that information to yourself. Share it with the rest of us, please. And stop believing people who can't even write a valid question on a ballot. They obviously didn't pay attention in school.
