Winder Restaurant Donating 100 Percent of Today's Sales to Tripp Halstead
The Barrow County toddler remains hospitalized after a tree limb fell and struck him in the head.
Barrow County residents are invited to dine out at Casey's in downtown Winder today, as 100 percent of sales will benefit Tripp Halstead.
Casey's will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Several local businesses, including Dairy Queen and Zaxby's in Winder, have donated a portion of a day's sales to Tripp, who remains hospitalized after being seriously injured Monday, Oct. 29, at Cribs to Crayons Daycare in Winder when a tree limb weighing several hundred pounds fell and struck him in the head. Casey's is the first restaurant to donate 100 percent of sales to the Halstead family.

I thought ALL of the restaurants in Winder were doing this -- ate at Casey's once and didn't like it at all BUT I will be eating there again today simply because all the processes are going for a good cause

I think it has been completely tasteless that you have promoted today's charity event by Casey's repeatedly and have failed to mention that Locos and Arby's will both be going a charity event today; in fact, I know that Casey announced his after one of these other businesses and to me, that was also tasteless. We should be spreading these events out, especially with the holidays coming so that the goodwill of the community can continue as the family will need help for a while. Good deeds should not be bragged about and to me, this is what the event at Casey's has become all about; bragging that they are more charitable, and that is not true charity. Casey's has lost my business for today. My family will be at Locos today and Jacquelin, you can join us there instead!
