A Winder man continued drinking a beer outside a local grocery store despite being approached by law enforcement.
About 7:45 p.m. May 5, an officer with the Winder Police Department was dispatched to Ingles in reference to a report of suspicious people.
When the officer arrived at the supermarket, two white males and a white female were observed sitting outside at one of the store's tables. The two males appeared to be drinking a can of beer.
The officer walked past the suspects, into the store and spoke with the store manager. Inside, the officer had a clear view of the three suspects and observed one of the males drinking a can of Bud Light. According to an incident report, when the officer approached the trio and asked for IDs, the suspect continued to drink his beer.
Marcus Eric Brown, 32, of 249 Farlow Drive in Winder was arrested and charged with public intoxication before being transported to the Barrow County Detention Center.
