Top Candidate for County Manager is Former Gwinnett Administrator
The Board of Commissioners is scheduled to vote on the appointment of a county manager at its Dec. 11 meeting.
Last November, Barrow voters chose a county manager over a chairman managing its county government. Come Dec. 11, members of the Barrow County Board of Commissioners are set to vote on the appointment of that manager, who will take on oversight of the county government Jan. 1.
The Barrow Journal reports the top candidate for the job is Jock Connell, a former county administrator for Gwinnett County who served as interim administrator for Hall County.
