Gateway Cinemas 12 in Bethlehem will celebrate its grand opening Thursday, Jan. 12, bringing the BigD Experience to Barrow County.

One of 12 auditoriums inside the theater is outfitted with a special screen that gives viewers a brighter 3D experience as they enjoy leather seats and additional upgrades in sound and overall visual experience.

During Thursday's grand opening charity event — featuring $1 movie tickets, $1 popcorn and $1 drinks with all of the evening’s proceeds benefiting The Tree House — Rise of the Planet of the Apes will be playing on the BigD screen. Here are the 11 other movies that will be shown.
