Bide my time for 4 years then put up a bill board in the middle of Dekalb county with big letters Saying I told you so then spend the whole campaign comparing Romney to Genghis khan and Che Guevara and or other scary individuals from history in a vain stupid atempt to persuade people who would have never voted for Romney in the first place not to vote for Romney.

If my guy doesn't win? Try to remember the words of John Wayne, a conservative Republican, when JFK won in 1960: "I didn't vote for him, but he's my President, and I hope he does a good job."

Initiate my escape plan: protect my wealth and family.
Jan 1, 2013 might be a very grim day for people that work.

1. Cry uncontrollably for hours.
2. Drink heavily in an attempt to forget what happened and fall asleep.
3. Wake up in the middle of the night and cry like a school girl after remembering what happened.
4. Drink some more.
5. Wake up in the morning and go to work like nothing happened.

And I have good news for all of you... The Mayans predicted the world is going to end on Dec. 21st, so you won't have to worry about what will happen if your guy doesn't win!

what can one do? the prez is going to be whomever it is..Just continue on restructuring and re-planning our finances, so that we may have more choices in whatever goes on within this country. ~shrugs~

I will do exactly what I have been doing, writing to my Congressman, Senators and the President to try to get them to understand this recession and then take obvious steps to correct it. Neither club seems to have a clue. They are far too young, I suppose.

Ryan has the best answer. A more interesting question is what will Fox and Friends, Limbaugh, Coulter, Malkin and the like do for material if Romney wins.

The most important thing for us to do, regardless of the winner, is to resolve some important issues for our political system and the way it operates.
First, even with an approval rating of only 10% most congressman and state representatives will be returned to office. Why? It is because the politicians choose the voters instead of the voters choosing the politicians, so we need some method of fairly drawing the districts and to eliminate gerrymandering. This will also encourage more people to run for office. Remember most of our state representatives have no competition because they are in protected districts.
The Citizens United decision has enabled the rich plutocrats and corporations to buy our elections with their ability to now contribute unlimited funding for those lawful robo calls, TV ads and even changes to our state constitution like amendment 1 .Look how much money Alice Walton and private corporations have put into getting this measure passed in Georgia.
Some other ideas are also limits on campaign time, public funding of campaigns, voting by the internet, etc.
The elimination of the monopoly of the two party systems would allow more competition. . A changing of ballot access rules to allow Libertarians, The Green party, Independents to easily get on the ballot would be a big step forward. These are just a few ideas but it is urgent that reform take place.

I am voting for President Obama. If Governor Romney wins, I will respect and honor him and pray for him, as my Bible commands me to do. I will recognize him as my President. That's what a true patriotic citizen and Christian does.

Thank you Ryan for your civil, intelligent, reply. It is only that kind of thinking and tolerance that will save our society and help us to advance as a species in the face of a challenging future. If there had been that kind of cooperation and support when our current president was first elected, he would have been able to accomplish much more. I agree that is the best response, and after my crying spell I will try to do the same.

I don't think that Obama supporters are going to have to wonder what they are going to do in that scenario. And these figures haven't even yet taken into consideration just how disgusted American's have become with Romney, given that Sandy has put FEMA in the forefront of this race in this last week and Romney refuses to answer questions about it, because he knows that he is on record for saying that he would like to eliminate it.

What this campaign had exposed is a gender gap, a racial gap, a geographical gap. What the "comments" have shown me is that everyone barricades themselves into their own reality and that anything that might threaten this reality (true facts) is not true.

If Romney wins more taxes will come out of your paycheck to pay for tax cuts for his friends, for corporate welfare and DoD. He'll probably have to so he can defend his chickenhawk big bully stance regarding Iran, ending up in another ME war. I would much rather those tax dollars go to help Americans get back on their feet than spill their blood in the desert sand. Unless you're in the millionaire income bracket, you're going to pay more taxes with R&R. You'll be paying taxes no matter who is POTUS, but more with Romney.

I wish people understood the whole FEMA issue. States send money to FEMA, FEMA holds captive said funds until a disaster comes along. The prez then HAS to declare that state a disaster area, so that FEMA can then give THAT state THEIR OWN MONIES BACK. Nothing special or sacrificial, just give them their funds back to deal with the crisis. If handled on a state level, state retaining their own funds only cuts out the waiting on there to be a deceleration of a disaster, and they get to work quicker in restoring their areas. Why wouldn't it work better that way being a state generally knows its residents, their needs, and neighborhoods better than some federal bureaucracy. THAT'S what Romney was talking about, NOT leaving a state and their people without any help.

I done tol' you, Mary Lou, states that have a constitutional requirement to "balance" their budget could spend that disaster money for other items and then who would they go to? - right, the Federal govt. They would be double dipping. Romney would do worse than turn over all disaster relief to the states, he would privatize it so profit is added to the cost. The contractors will make money under the FEMA system, but they'll pad it more if privatized. You make it sound like there's a big time lapse before an area is declared a disaster zone. It's pretty much immediate. Effects of disasters like Katrina and Sandy are not confined to the region hit. The whole country is affected! Plus, we're all going to see insurance premiums go up very soon, for homes, cars, medical, all insurance. Is there more than one Mary Lou? I think I'm replying to multiples.

Reagan raised them the first two years. Raising taxes is a part of fixing liberal spending, but the trick is, you've got to stop at some point (unlike obama who is STILL spending to the point of bankrupting our entire country). Reagan did. Trickle down economics was a phrase coined by liberals. Reagan did exactly what John F. Kennedy did. Several presidents that did what he did showed great success. Reagan said that his policies would not show up in full for about ten years - lo and behold, the 90's benefitted the greatest. Clinton was smart enough to cross the asile and could get along with others. That's wise.

@GGY- charity? at the rate this admin is going, there is not going to be any money to give to charity. Mortgage interest deductions? how many people are in foreclosure or lost their homes to foreclosure?
