Production of 'Steel Magnolias' Benefits Scholarship Funds

Winder-Barrow Community Theatre will stage the play "Steel Magnolias" this weekend and next.

 

Proceeds from a show opening at the Winder Cultural Arts Center this weekend will benefit two scholarship funds. 

Winder-Barrow Community Theatre will stage the play "Steel Magnolias" this weekend and next. Half of the proceeds will be donated to Russell Middle School for the John Hasty Band Scholarship Fund to send students to a special band activity. The other half will be used to fund the attendance of Boys and Girls Club members to the Winder-Barrow Community Theatre Drama Camp program.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays this weekend and next. Tickets are $10 for all ages in advance and at the door and can be purchased at Winder City Hall or at Pam Veader’s State Farm Insurance Office at 41 S. Center St. in Winder.
