Permanent Sign Goes Up for Gateway Station
Wayne Bartlett with Maynard and Bartlett Realty Group said construction should start on the structure by the end of September.
Following a delay with the project's steel building manufacturer, construction on Gateway Station should be moving forward next month.
Wayne Bartlett with Maynard and Bartlett Realty Group of Winder said Barrow County residents should see more progress on the 14,000-square-foot development in September. Bartlett said he will be able to announce tenants at that time.
The development is set to feature a splash fountain similar to the one at Mall of Georgia and a clock tower. The site will also include an acre of greenspace behind the shopping center that can be used for outdoor events, such as concerts.
A total of 160 acres are earmarked for grocery, retail, restaurant, office and medical space within Gateway at University Parkway.
