How Did the First Day of School Go for Your Student?
More than 13,000 students were expected to go back to school in Barrow County today.

Hopefully an exciting time for some and possibly a little frightening for others, it was back to school today for students in the Barrow County School System.
The school system expected 13,065 to fill the classrooms for a school year that has seen some changes, including longer school days, a new bell schedule, a shorter school calendar, increases in lunch prices and uniform initiatives at two elementary schools.

My son had a great day on his first day of high school. My daughter loved being in 4th grade. The only thing she didnt like was having to wait an hour to be picked up in the car rider line. Hopefully the transportation kinks will get worked out.
