Volunteers are this nursing home in Gainesville are always needed and greatly appreciated.
The Oaks at Limestone, a nursing home in the Gainesville area, recently hosted a special luncheon to honor volunteers. Each volunteer was individually recognized for his or her contribution to the home.
Jonathan Cannon, activities director and event organizer, wrote in a press release. “We appreciate our volunteers all year long, but on volunteer appreciation day we tried to really show them how much their efforts truly mean to us. Our patients adore them and really enjoy seeing them visit. We have some amazing people who help us out through the provision of all kinds of different services. Volunteers do everything from bringing in and arranging flowers to helping with activities and reading out loud to the residents.”
Volunteer opportunities at the Oaks at Limestone are open and available to anyone interested. Volunteer applicants must undergo a background check and drug testing for the safety of the patients and employees. Cannon advises, "The Oaks at Limestone is a wonderful place to spend some free time and everyone finds it very rewarding. It is a beautiful, clean campus with great employees and a caring ambiance. The best part of it all though is the company of our inspiring patients who sincerely appreciate the efforts.”
The Oaks at Limestone specializes in long and short term care and is the only five star rated nursing home in the Gainesville area, as stated on the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services website. “Anyone who is having major surgery can simply ask to come here and we will work hard and advocate for them to get a room and enjoy all of our amazing service offerings as they rest and recuperate," stated admissions director Priscilla Norris in a press release.
